Central Boiler Maxim Outdoor Wood/Pellet Furnace

The Maxim outdoor wood pellet and corn furnace is installed outside, next to your home like a central air conditioning unit or up to 500 feet away, and is designed to work with any existing heating system. A water jacket surrounds the furnace firebox and heated water is circulated to the home or building through insulated underground tubes. Water-to-air or water-to-water heat exchangers or direct circulation conveys the heat into the heating system, allowing for normal thermostatic controlled heat. Central Boiler also allows you to heat multiple buildings and eliminates worries about chimney fires, carbon monoxide, and any mess (smoke, ashes, soot) that could be left from inside heating. The Maxim is designed to heat for up to a week on a single fuel load and can be used with any existing heating system.

Green Tech’s Crown Royal Stoves

Crown Royal Stoves are designed to burn wood, coal & corn and are constructed out of 10 gauge 409 AL Titanium enhanced stainless steel for the best corrosion resistance and heat transfer possible. These stoves are made to be one of the most efficient ways to heat your premises; in fact two stoves (one indoor and one outdoor) already meet standards of an EPA-accredited laboratory. Green Tech continues to voluntarily work with the agency to ensure all their stoves meet these standards.

These furnaces are non-pressurized systems designed to be located virtually next to your firewood storage for convenience and are normally filled only once or twice per day depending on conditions. The firebox and outer drum are round designs with the shaker grates and ash pan built into the unit for easy cleaning and longer burn times.

New Horizon Attack DPX Boilers

New Horizon’s wood gasification boilers are designed to provide a safe and environmentally friendly way to heat your home and domestic hot water with wood and other biomass byproducts.

Attack DPX boilers consume wood (biomass) in the burning process, which uses the energy contained in the wood with efficiency—up to two times higher than traditional boilers or wood stoves. Boilers release wood gas, also known as syngas or producer gas, from biomass (25% hydrogen, 19 % carbon monoxide, and mixture of hydrocarbons and alcohols) and re-burn it in a secondary combustion process. Smoke and other emissions are cut to a low level due to the high temperature. Additionally, this burn technology produces little or no creosote, reducing risks of chimney fires and greenhouse gas emissions.

Lamppa Manufacturing’s Vapor-Fire 100 & 200

The Vapor-Fire 100 (pictured) wood gasification unit takes approximately 20" logs and requires seasoned wood with18-28% moisture content. This furnace features a large 2-speed blower, delivering 500 to 1500 CFM (cubic feet per minute) controlled by a thermostat. The Vapor-Fire 100 can stand alone as a central furnace or be used as an add-on to an existing oil, gas, or electric furnace. Vapor-Fires can burn without smoke or harming the environment, and without creosote to prevent possible chimney and/or house fires. The bonnet opens to 2' x 2' and your heat duct outlet should be 180-200 square inches to prevent excess backpressure on the blower system. Vapor-Fires are designed to give you a clean, safe, and automatic front-to-back burn that delivers even heat to 3500 square feet for 10-12 hours per load followed by many hours of coals.

Portage & Main Optimizer

EPA Qualified Wood Gasification

Portage & Main’s Optimizers use wood gasification to produce highly efficient combustion in the furnace’s primary burn and reaction chambers. Wood in the firepot burns from the bottom up, drying the top layer of wood in the firepot. Gases and exhaust are forced into the lower burn refractory brick chamber where gases are burnt at temperatures of 2000º F plus (depending on conditions). These units burn all types of dried, seasoned wood.

Optimizers are designed to be highly efficient with a multi-pass, easy clean reverse return tube heat exchanger, and convenient access to the large pump install area. Optimizer models also feature digital controls and a motorized 120-volt gasketed flapper air shut-off. P&M also carries a full line of boilers and automated stokers for all solid fuel heating needs—commercial or residential.
