The GVL Poly corn head gatherer shields were originally developed on the farm when the founder of GVL Poly made the decision to go from 38" wide rows to 22" narrow rows in 1992. Reworking his metal snouts was time consuming and frustrating. Experimenting with rotationally molded polyethylene, and a few other design changes, he had a prototype ready to test on the farm. Personally testing the prototype on his farm, our founder was satisfied with the new product and ready to market to other farmers.

Since 1993, GVL Poly has taken pride in manufacturing "Poly"ethylene Gatherer Snouts at our facility located 3 miles west of Litchfield, Minnesota. We stock parts and assembled units to provide a fast turnaround time to our dealers and farmers. GVL Poly has continued to increase the products offered along with improvements for modern corn headers. We currently offer poly gatherer shields to fit John Deere, Case IH, Gleaner, New Holland, Cat Lexion, Massey Ferguson, AGCO and Harvest Tech. Row spacing offered includes 15", 20", 22", 30" 36", and 38" row widths. GVL Poly continues to expand it's product line, and now offer Series I, Series II, and the new Corn Saver Series.

We have continued to expand our facility, now over 30,000 square feet, and improve our technology. GVL Poly has been offering design and drafting services to OEM customers since 2003. Mold design and fabrication are also offered.
