Dave Berckes was farming in western Minnesota and needed to know the test weight of his grain production. He developed the ecconomical Grain Test Weight Scale in 1960. We have sold over 200,000 units worldwide. In 1962 we added a Fertilizer Density scale that is still the most accurate, easy to use scale on the market worldwide. We were asked to develop a scale to find the exact pounds per acre of seed being applied by different spacing of seed drills.
