The move, effective January 16, 2024, positions Shah as a key player in AGCO's senior leadership team, reporting directly to CEO Eric Hansotia.

In his role, Shah will spearhead the development, design, and implementation of AGCO's digital vision and strategy, with a focus on IT and data analytics. This strategic addition is set to accelerate AGCO's tech transformation and enhance precision ag offerings that prioritize the needs of the farmer.

Hansotia expressed confidence in Shah's ability to drive AGCO's tech evolution, stating, "Viren brings deep expertise in this field across multiple industries and will help further accelerate our tech transformation by enabling our precision ag offerings that put the farmer first."

Prior to joining AGCO, Shah served as the Chief Digital Officer of GE Appliances since 2018. His global leadership positions include Chief Information Officer (CIO) at Masco Cabinetry, CIO at Specialty Fashion Group, and various roles at Wal-Mart.
