AGCO has launched Legacies of the Land, a nationwide storytelling campaign that invites farming families to share their histories as part of the United States' 250th anniversary celebration.

The campaign highlights the role of multi-generational farming families in American agriculture and encourages farmers to contribute photos, videos and personal stories through an interactive story wall using the #LandLegacies hashtag.

Built around the theme "Your Story Is America's History," the initiative is designed to create a collection of stories reflecting generations of farming, stewardship and resilience.

The campaign launches with stories from three multi-generational operations: Lehenbauer Farms in Palmyra, Missouri; Matthews Land & Cattle in Oakley, Idaho; and Riney Dairy in Springfield, Kentucky.

Mark Lehenbauer, whose family has farmed in Missouri for generations, said, "I hope that 100 or 200 years from now, somebody can sit here and share how we helped leave the world in a better place."

AGCO Chairman, President and CEO Eric Hansotia said the campaign is intended to preserve farming stories for future generations.

"Every farming family has a story worth telling, rooted in resilience, stewardship and love for the land," said Hansotia. "Legacies of the Land gives farmers a way to share their experiences and helps preserve them for this generation and the ones that follow. We are proud to help honor these families and recognize their place in America's history."

John Riney, the 10th generation to farm his family's land in central Kentucky, reflected on his family's history, saying, "After doing all the research and seeing that I'm the 10th generation to farm in central Kentucky, it really opened my eyes to the legacy that we have here."

According to AGCO, the campaign aligns with the company's Farmer-First strategy and includes participation from its Fendt, Massey Ferguson, PTx and Valtra brands. Farmers, families and rural communities are invited to submit their stories throughout the summer, with contributions becoming part of the online collection.

Farmers interested in participating can share photos, videos and stories using the #LandLegacies hashtag. Submissions will be featured on AGCO's interactive Legacies of the Land campaign page as part of the company's tribute to American agriculture during the nation's 250th anniversary.
