Allient Introduces Vyxalon Apex Drone Drive for Professional Drones

Allient Inc. has introduced the Vyxalon Apex Drone Drive, an electronic speed controller (ESC) designed for professional drone propulsion systems. The company announced the new product August 5.

The drive is the latest addition to Allient’s Intelligent Controls platform and is designed for drone applications in defense, industrial, robotics, and agriculture.

New ESC Targets Professional Drone Applications

The Vyxalon Apex Drone Drive combines Gallium Nitride (GaN) power technology with sensorless and encoder-based Field-Oriented Control (FOC). The company says the drive is designed to provide thermal and energy efficiency, along with low-noise and low-vibration operation.

The ESC also features field-programmable tuning, allowing configurations to be adjusted for specific applications. Compact electronics, protection and diagnostic features, and support for multiple communication interfaces are included in the system.

Allient said the drive is designed to operate in demanding environments and is intended to support drone propulsion systems where efficiency, reliability, and flight performance are important.

Designed for Agriculture and Other Industries

The Vyxalon Apex Drone Drive is intended for drone platforms used across several industries, including agriculture. Allient said its design supports flight range, uptime, and mission-specific configurability.

The company also said the drive will meet National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) supply chain requirements and will be included in the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) Blue UAS Framework/Catalog.
