Case IH Adds 16-Row Nutri-Tiller Configuration

Case IH has expanded its Nutri-Tiller 1000 series with a new 16-row folding mounted toolbar configuration and a knife/coulter row unit option.

The new configuration is designed to help farmers cover more acres while maintaining strip quality and reducing the number of field passes. The Nutri-Tiller 1000 series is designed to create precise strips while leaving residue between rows to help limit soil erosion from wind and water.

The 16-row folding mounted toolbar expands the Nutri-Tiller 1000 series for operations with different fieldwork needs. The new knife/coulter configuration also expands the available row unit options.

The Nutri-Tiller 1000 series uses strip-till to place fertilizer in a concentrated zone within the tilled strip. Case IH says the system is designed to combine conservation-minded no-till practices with conventional tillage while improving nutrient and water retention and reducing fuel use through fewer field passes.

"By offering the new 16-row folding mounted toolbar configuration on the Nutri-Tiller 1000 series, we are helping farmers cover more acres while improving soil health during a time where every minute counts,” said David Brennan, planter marketing manager at Case IH. “From there, pairing it with the 2000 series Early Riser planter creates an ideal agronomic partnership for improving soil health and starting the season off strong.”

Case IH designed the Nutri-Tiller 1000 series to create uniform strips by moving residue away from the planting path while maintaining clean soil for planting. When paired with a 2000 series Early Riser planter, the system is designed to provide a consistent seedbed for early emergence.

Operators can control the residue managers from the cab, allowing adjustments during fieldwork without additional tillage passes.

The 2000 series Early Riser row unit works within the strips created by the Nutri-Tiller to provide seed placement, depth control, and seed-to-soil contact. Case IH says the two systems are designed to support emergence and root development while maintaining soil health.

The system also incorporates Case IH FieldOps and Active Implement Guidance. FieldOps allows farmers to store and share guidance lines across their equipment, while Active Implement Guidance automatically corrects implement drift to maintain alignment between the strip-till and planting passes.
