CNH to Update Emissions Software Beginning in Q4
CNH will roll out emissions-system software updates in Q4 2026, beginning with high-horsepower agricultural equipment.
CNH plans to begin releasing software updates in the fourth quarter of 2026 to align with updated U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) guidance related to emissions-system fault inducement timing.
The updates will give customers more time to plan and complete certain repairs before engine derates are triggered. CNH said the rollout is intended to reduce avoidable downtime during critical operating periods.
Software availability will begin with priority products in the fourth quarter of 2026 and expand to additional applications throughout 2027.
Agricultural Equipment Rollout
The initial rollout will prioritize high-horsepower agricultural equipment, with additional product families scheduled to be added throughout 2027.
For owners and operators, the updated software is intended to provide additional flexibility when addressing emissions-system issues and planning service.

"These updates are designed to give operators more practical flexibility in addressing emissions-system issues while supporting the performance and reliability they depend on across farms and jobsites."
CNH is developing revised engine software based on the updated EPA guidance. Once the updates become available, customers with a CNH Electronic Service Tool subscription will be able to perform the software update themselves. Dealers will also be able to support installation remotely or on site.
