GripEdge Tools has introduced the GripEdge 1/4-inch Drive Standard Flex Head 7/16 Hex Low Profile Dual Action Driver Ratchet (Part No. DFRA6572), a new hand tool designed for work in confined spaces where traditional ratchets may be difficult to use.

The ratchet measures 6.5 inches long and is constructed from chrome molybdenum (Cr-Mo) steel. It features a 72-tooth ratchet head with a 5-degree swing arc, allowing users to engage fasteners with minimal movement in tight working areas. An integrated reversible switch provides bidirectional torque control.

The tool also includes a pivoting ratchet head that moves from 0 to 180 degrees, allowing operators to access fasteners from multiple angles while maintaining hand positioning.

According to GripEdge, the ratchet's proprietary pass-through retention cavity is designed to work with GripEdge Dual Action Drivers, creating a lower-profile configuration intended for applications with limited clearance.

"The DFRA6572 represents everything GripEdge stands for — solving real problems that professionals face every day on the job," said Jared Kukucka, director of sales at Grip Tooling Technologies. "When you're working in a tight engine bay or a confined aerospace assembly, every millimeter matters. This ratchet was built specifically for those moments."

GripEdge said the ratchet was designed with serviceability in mind, featuring exposed fastener points, replaceable gear assemblies and repair kits intended to extend the tool's service life.

The DFRA6572 has an MSRP of $79.99 and is available through authorized distributors and directly from GripEdge Tools. The company also offers a limited lifetime warranty covering manufacturing and workmanship defects.
