LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Farmers and agribusiness professionals packed the halls of the National Farm Machinery Show (NFMS) for four-days of the latest farm equipment, educational seminars and exciting tractor pulls. More than 300,000 visitors and exhibitors attended the show, making it one of the largest-attended events at the Kentucky Exposition Center.
The National Farm Machinery Show spanned 1.2 million square feet and was packed with 890 booths of the industry's latest and most comprehensive display of equipment, services and technology. Other highlights include 20 free seminars, five additional from last year, with topics ranging from market strategies to the future of precision planting.
Many of the biggest equipment manufactures in the world unveiled new products at the show this year, including Case IH's AFS Connect Magnum tractor, Deutz Fahr's 6130 and 6140 tractors, New Holland's 2020 Genesis T8, John Deere's 6230R and 6250R tractors and countless other innovations which will guide the future of agriculture for years to come.
"We're proud of the success of the National Farm Machinery Show. It attracts industry-leaders in agribusiness and showcases the latest equipment for farmers," said David S. Beck, President and CEO of Kentucky Venues. "It's a key show in our goal to bridge the urban-rural divide as it helps inform attendees about cutting-edge farming equipment and best practices."
As the nation's largest indoor farm show, the NFMS brings an estimated economic impact of $23.9 million to Louisville annually, filling local hotels and restaurants with attendees from across the country and around the world.
The Championship Tractor Pull, held in conjunction with the farm show, sold more than 60,000 tickets. Fans flooded Freedom Hall for five pulls, which drew the nation's top drivers as they competed for the title of Grand Champion and $275,000 in prize money.
The 2020 National Farm Machinery Show takes places next year February 12-15 at the Kentucky Exposition Center.
