Tractor Supply Company broke ground on a new 865,000-square-foot distribution center in Nampa, Idaho, marking the company’s first facility in the Pacific Northwest. The project represents an initial investment of nearly $225 million and is expected to create more than 500 full-time jobs in the Canyon County area.

The facility will be the retailer’s 11th distribution center and is designed to support more than 200 Tractor Supply stores across the region, including nearby locations in Middleton, Kuna and Emmett, Idaho.

“Today is an exciting milestone in our company’s storied history,” said Colin Yankee, Tractor Supply’s chief supply chain officer. “As we mark the groundbreaking of the Nampa facility, we are celebrating the extension of our distribution network to the Pacific Northwest for the very first time. We are proud to serve hobby farmers, pet owners, gardening enthusiasts, fourth-generation farming families and all those in this region who live Life Out Here more efficiently than ever. We are also celebrating the hundreds of Team Members who will join our Tractor family, and we are celebrating our arrival in our newest home, one that shares our agricultural roots and our commitment to community. It is an honor to be here.”

Idaho Lieutenant Governor Scott Bedke, Nampa Mayor Debbie Kling and Tom Kealey, director of the Idaho Department of Commerce, joined the April 22 groundbreaking.

“Idaho is a national leader in agricultural production, and the rural lifestyle is deeply rooted in our state,” Bedke said. “We are pleased to welcome Tractor Supply to our state, and we wish them continued success in providing for the agricultural needs of our communities.”

Mayor Kling also noted the company’s community involvement from the outset.

“While today marks the beginning of the Nampa Distribution Center, Tractor Supply has already been such a generous advocate for our community in their support of our local FFA and 4-H chapters,” Kling said. “We are thankful they will be providing well-paying employment opportunities for hundreds of people in our community. Our newest neighbor is one we are grateful to have.”

During the event, Tractor Supply donated $10,000 each to the Ridgevue FFA and Canyon County 4-H chapters. Culinary students from the Nampa School District’s Idaho Center for Advanced Technology catered the ceremony, highlighting local talent and youth involvement.

“Tractor Supply is the latest company to recognize the opportunities available in our great state,” said Kealey. “From our proximity to western U.S. markets and our incredible workforce, to our natural resources and our economic opportunities, I am honored to welcome Tractor Supply to Canyon County.”

Tractor Supply evaluated cities in five states before selecting Nampa for its new site. The facility will be constructed to meet LEED certification standards and is scheduled for completion in late 2026 or early 2027. Hiring is expected to begin in the second quarter of 2026.

The company currently operates 12 stores in Idaho and 2,296 across 49 states. Its existing distribution centers are located in New York, Arizona, Kentucky, Maryland, Georgia, Indiana, Texas, Nebraska, Ohio and Arkansas.
