Seed Stop

Seed Stop Incorporated is a manufacturer of air planter shut offs. Seed Stop was started in 1988 by three farmers.

The shut-offs prevent double planting and saves seed in places such as point rows, waterways, and edges of fields. By eliminating the double planting, you can save seed costs and boost your yield. The shut-off is electronically operated. A butterfly valve is installed in the air manifold on the planter and can be operated from a control box in the tractor cab. When a farmer wishes to shut off a portion of the planter, he stops the plate's air supply and the seeds stop falling. A farmer may use the Seed Stop to shut off the right or left side, or all of the planter, but not individual rows. Your planter monitor will indicate which rows are not planting.
