Grain bins remain a cornerstone of on-farm storage, with manufacturers focusing on strength, accessibility and efficiency to meet the needs of modern operations. Bins today are built in a wide range of sizes and configurations, from hopper-style designs to million-bushel storage systems.

Features such as reinforced roofs, high-strength steel, expanded manways and improved ventilation reflect ongoing efforts to protect grain quality while supporting long-term durability. The following selection highlights current bin options available to farmers across North America.

Sioux Steel CompanyRaptor IV sweep

Built for high-capacity, commercial grain storage systems, the Raptor IV sweep has the ability to move between 7,500 and 12,500 bushels per hour. The heavy-duty sweep, manufactured to fit bins up to 165 feet in diameter, is engineered to operate while fully submerged in grain and is capable of unburying itself in the event of an avalanche.

Unlike traditional auger-based sweeps, the Raptor IV uses flexible rubber paddles to move grain, reducing hazards and friction while ensuring an even clean-out. Designed for zero-entry operation, the system eliminates the need for workers to enter the bin.

Features include intelligent drive controls with an all-weather touchscreen and tactile buttons, integrated diagnostics, variable frequency drive adjustments and independent electric motors. A patented angled sweep design assists with startup and avalanche protection, while curved paddles and claw-type supports promote efficient en masse grain flow and handling of conditioned grain or debris.

SukupSukup farm bins

Sukup offers farm bins with capacities from 1,848 to 73,711 bushels. These bins feature 50,000-pound roof load ratings and patented 22-inch anchor brackets that function as stiffeners for the plenum.

An extra-large manhole with a 20-inch by 35.5-inch opening is a comfortable fit for most operators — a special latch holds the manhole firmly in place and the cover lies flat against the roof when open.

Sukup bin doors feature a reversible hinge so doors open to the left or right, whichever works best for your layout. The inner doors open a full 180 degrees to rest flat against the sidewall and there's no cross-bracing to block the opening.

Conrad AmericanConrad-American/Eaton on-farm grain storage bins

Conrad-American/Eaton offers on-farm grain storage bins from 15 to 90 feet in diameter with either wide- or narrow-corrugated sidewalls.

Customers can choose from three basic weights: standard, heavy and recirculating. A bolt-on base angle allows for ease of future expansion, such as adding rings to the bottom of the bin for additional storage capacity.

The rigid rib design and 35-degree slope gives Conrad-American/Eaton one of the strongest roofs in the industry. An extra-large manway, 40-inch peak opening and safety ring set the company’s bins apart.

Redstone IndustriesRedstone Hopper Bottom Cones

Harvest has changed in the last 100 years — those 18 feet bins your grandfather put up just don’t get much use anymore. Redstone Industries specializes in heavy-duty, steel hopper bottom grain bins for all sizes of new or existing bins.

We work directly with farmers and millwrights to improve your grain handling facilities. We also provide hoppers for industrial applications.

Redstone builds Hopper Bottom Cones for bins from 12 feet to 36 feet. However, converted to a hopper bottom, they can easily be used for almost anything. A Hoppercone allows you to modernize and increase the capacity of bins you already have.
