The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced October 30 that eight additional meat and poultry companies have adopted its voluntary Product of USA label. The initiative identifies products that are born, raised, harvested, and processed in the United States.

More than 30 companies have committed to using the label since USDA launched its nationwide campaign earlier this year. The latest additions include:

  • Mesorah Farms, Pennsylvania
  • KJ Poultry, New York
  • Strauss Brands, South Carolina
  • Legacy Maker Farms, Indiana
  • Demkota Ranch Beef, South Dakota
  • Delta Pride Catfish, Mississippi
  • Eel River Organic Beef, California
  • Krogman Home Grown Meats, Illinois

U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Brooke L. Rollins said the label is intended to help consumers identify meat and poultry products raised and processed in the United States.

“From the pasture to the dinner table, American families deserve to know that their food is American through and through. And as of today, 8 more companies are adding the Product of USA label to their product,” said Secretary of Agriculture Brooke L. Rollins. “Every company that adopts the Product of USA label is standing with our ranchers, our processors, and our rural communities. Now available in all 50 states, families can gather around the table this holiday season and be able to choose meat and poultry raised right here in America. Under President Trump’s leadership, USDA will keep working every day to put American farmers and ranchers first.”

The Product of USA initiative is part of USDA's broader efforts to support domestic livestock production and meat and poultry processing. The department said the label is intended to create market opportunities for products that are fully American from pasture to plate.

The initiative complements USDA’s Strengthening Processing for U.S. Ranchers (SPUR) Program, a $500 million investment to help eligible small- and mid-sized beef processors preserve and expand domestic processing capacity. It also complements the recently announced SPUR 2.0 Guaranteed Loan program, which supports American meat and seafood.

USDA said the programs are intended to strengthen the domestic supply chain, expand opportunities for U.S. producers, and increase consumer access to American-raised products.

The department continues to receive interest from processors across the country and expects additional companies to adopt the Product of USA label in the coming months.
