Massey Ferguson has opened nominations for the 10th annual Sowing Good Deeds contest, which recognizes Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) rodeo committees for community service, agricultural education and charitable efforts in rural communities.

Nominations for the 2026 contest are open through Oct. 15, 2026. Finalists will be announced in early November, and the grand prize winner will be named on December 2 at the PRCA Awards Banquet in Las Vegas. The winning rodeo committee will receive a Massey Ferguson tractor with a loader valued at more than $60,000.

The annual program recognizes PRCA rodeo committees for contributions to schools, agriculture and local communities, including support for organizations such as FFA and 4-H, volunteer efforts and charitable initiatives.

“For the past 10 years, Sowing Good Deeds has given us the opportunity to recognize hardworking rodeo committees that quietly make a real difference in their communities every single day,” said Matt LeCroy, senior marketing manager for Massey Ferguson North America. “From supporting FFA and 4-H programs to raising money for local charities and stepping up for neighbors during difficult times, these organizations represent the same values we believe in at Massey Ferguson — dependability, service and a strong commitment to rural communities. We’re proud to celebrate this milestone year and honored to continue recognizing the people and rodeo committees who work tirelessly to strengthen agriculture and western traditions.”

What Rodeo Committees Need to Know

The contest is open to all PRCA-sanctioned rodeo committees in the contiguous 48 states and the District of Columbia, regardless of size.

According to Massey Ferguson, applicants are evaluated based on community involvement, entrepreneurial spirit and their ability to adapt to challenges and adversity. Entries require essays describing volunteer efforts, local projects, community impact and efforts to create positive change.

“PRCA-sanctioned rodeos collectively raise millions of dollars each year for local charities across the United States,” said Tom Glause, CEO of the PRCA. “Our collaboration with Massey Ferguson’s Sowing Good Deeds program provides a meaningful platform to recognize and reward the outstanding charitable work of our committees. With more than 600 committees nationwide, we are immensely proud of their unwavering commitment to historic traditions and the rural communities they serve.”
