New Holland is preparing to roll out a new generation of round balers designed for durability, higher capacity and greater use of technology. The Roll-Belt 1 Series, announced for model year 2026, will make its first public appearance at the 2025 Farm Progress Show in Decatur, Illinois.

The lineup includes three models — the Roll-Belt 451, 461 and 561 — each built with updates aimed at improving feeding performance, handling larger windrows and reducing wear in demanding conditions.

“No matter the crop, New Holland has a baler built for the job, and they’re proudly made right here in New Holland, Pennsylvania,” said Alex Berwager, livestock and dairy business manager for New Holland North America. “Whether you're a beef producer in the Southern Plains or Midwest, or running a dairy in the Northeast, the new Roll-Belt 1 Series was designed with your needs in mind. There’s a configuration to fit nearly every operation.”

Among the biggest changes is a redesigned pickup system. The 451, 461 and 561 models now come standard with a larger single roller windguard, while the 561 also offers an optional dual roller version. The paired rollers can pivot independently to adjust to varying crop conditions or lock together for more consistent feeding.

New Holland reports the dual roller option on the 561 improves feeding capacity in corn stalks by 16%, from 43 to 50 tons per hour.

Additional refinements include stronger drive chains, improved edge feeding through redesigned pickup flares and bolt-in windguard tines that are easier to maintain or adjust for different crop types.

Structural improvements were also made to the baler’s internal rolls. The bale-forming rolls now use thicker seamless tubing, reducing the number of welds and improving wear resistance. Other reinforcements include a redesigned pivot roll with added support plates and upgraded bearings with triple lip seals to better protect against dust and debris.

The Roll-Belt 561 introduces ActiveWeigh, a system that records bale weight in real time and stores field-by-field data to support inventory management and feed planning.

Every Roll-Belt 1 Series baler now comes standard with ISOBUS Class III, giving operators the choice of two new monitor systems. The IntelliView IV Plus features a full-color touchscreen, while the IntelliView 12 offers multi-touch capability and integration with New Holland’s FieldOps platform. IntelliBale automation is also available, allowing the baler and tractor to complete the baling cycle with minimal operator input.

FieldOps connectivity provides access to bale and machine data through mobile or web applications. Producers can monitor location, bale drop points and machine activity in real time, or choose advanced features that generate detailed maps of crop and baler performance.

“Whether you're baling alfalfa or corn stalks, for your own herd or for sale, this baler is built to deliver the strength, speed and smart tools today’s operators demand,” Berwager said.

In addition to the mechanical and technological changes, the Roll-Belt 1 Series will debut with yellow side shields, reflecting New Holland’s updated branding for its hay and forage equipment.

The series is expected to arrive at New Holland dealerships across North America in late 2025.
