Shurco has acquired Heavy Motions, a provider of hydraulic systems and motion products serving the agriculture, construction, trucking, waste, oil and gas, and industrial equipment markets.

The acquisition was completed June 30, 2026. Shurco, based in Yankton, South Dakota, manufactures cargo covering, cargo control, and containment systems. The company said the acquisition expands its product offerings with hydraulic and motion technologies.

“As our customers’ businesses become more complex, they need partners who can simplify decisions; not add to them," said Chad Heminover, president & CEO of Shurco. “Heavy Motions brings exceptional people, deep hydraulic expertise, and a reputation for outstanding customer support. Together, we’re building an ecosystem that gives customers easier access to the products, knowledge, and support they need to keep their operations moving.”

Heavy Motions has served customers in several industries, including agriculture. The company will continue operating as an independent business within the Shurco family of brands.

According to Shurco, Heavy Motions will retain its existing people, expertise, and customer relationships while gaining access to Shurco’s resources.

“From our very first conversations, it was clear that Shurco shares the same values that have guided Heavy Motions from the beginning: putting customers first, investing in innovation, and building lasting relationships,” added Dean Ding, former owner of Heavy Motions. “Joining the Shurco family gives us the resources to grow while preserving the expertise, responsiveness, and service our customers depend on. We're excited about what this means for our team, our partners, and the customers we serve together.”

Shurco said the acquisition will give customers access to expertise in cargo covering and securement, hydraulics, and motion technologies. The company also expects the combination to reduce the need for customers to coordinate multiple suppliers when sourcing related products.

For agricultural operations, the addition brings hydraulic and motion technology into a company whose existing products focus on cargo protection systems. Shurco said the combined product and technical expertise is intended to help customers select solutions for specific applications.

“Customers are seeking a better way to do business,” Heminover said. “They want trusted partners who understand their business, help them make the right decisions, and make it easier to get the products and support they need. That's exactly what we're building.”

The acquisition also expands Shurco’s ability to support distributors by combining Heavy Motions’ specialized expertise with Shurco’s sales and distribution network.

Shurco said it will continue investing in advanced technologies, strategic partnerships, and its portfolio of brands as it develops the combined business.
